Can Burping be caused through anxiety?
Question:
Answers:
Anxiety and eating or drinking too fast which often exists along with anxiety can easily be the cause of swallowing air and that will lead to burping.
Burps also can be caused by drinking carbonated beverages such as soft drinks, beer, or champagne. Then the burp is caused by the carbon dioxide in the drink.
The clinical word for burping is "eructation." This word sounds pretty funny by itself. Can you imagine saying "pardon my eructation."
Burping is common and most of the time is harmless, representing nothing more than a good meal or a refreshing drink. People even deliberately do it for fun.
Occasionally, combined with other signs and symptoms, it can be a pointer toward some underlying malady.
I have the same question about hiccups. I get them all the time, and I wonder why. I have never heard that burping is caused by anxiety. It will be interesting to see what people have to say, though!! Hey, I just now thought you can ask the Internet. Just type in "Can burping cause anxiety?". I bet you will find an answer there. I just looked it up on the Internet and they had a few sites you can look up., (and they replied yes, among other things can cause you to have anxiety.)
