Answers:
Find another doctor.

I had a friend who broke his tailbone in his teens. When he was in his late 20's he ended up having a surgery to fix it because it was causing him pain.

It is your health, not your docs. Find another doctor that takes your concerns seriously.
See a Chiropractor
I agree, find another doctor, PRONTO!
You need a second opinion - Lets put it this way, if your doctor was experiencing this kind of pain would he/she think nah I don't need an x-ray it is nothing. No, the doctors make sure they get the best.
Unfortuantly around the tail bone there are nerves that are close to your spine and if you caused any damage it will cause pain every now and then no cure, however if you want some relieve than do exercises to stregthen your back or get a physiotherapist to get advice and help
Try going to another doctor.

A tail bone is a long healing process and will take time but I don't think that it should take that long. You may have long term problems if not tended to, like another writer wrote go and see a Chiropractor.

Good luck and demand an x-ray there, there for a reason.
Agreed, find another doctor- One who will use his brain instead of being a jackass!
Yes.another opinion is necessary. You might have developed a cyst in the area or perhaps have a spur on the tailbone. If you are hurting or uncomfortable, find another doc to help you. Godloveya.
Go see a chiropractor. They specialize in this kind of problem. When you call one, ask if they have worked on tailbones before. You'll need someone who has.
