here in San Antonio about $6 an hour or so to drive an ambulance for private company

Other Answers:
10 to 11 dollars per hour depending on what state you live in
not enough- they get min.wage to work on an ambulance. fire fighters get like 4,000 a month. not worth risking ur life!
Private services, a little more than minimum wage. Public service, start probably around $17,000-$19,000 year, give or take.

It does depend on where you live.and on the service you work for. I would guess that currently you could expect anywhere from $8-11/hr starting pay. Obviously smaller towns/cities normally pay less simply because they work with smaller budgets.
