FLU- any tips on getting over the flu as quickly as possible............cont....

Question:
and not spreading it. SYmptons like sore throat, continually sleeping, really tired, heavy head, ear aches, congestion etc etc

Answers:
First, get some REST! You are going to need the rest to get over things so don't fight the sleep. Go to the doctor to be sure it is not anything that requires antibiotics.

I swear by zinc throat lozenges (like Cold-eez) and heavy doses of vitamin C whenever I begin feeling poorly. Heavy doses are 1000-2000 mg of good grade vitamin C. I prefer to use Camu C by Amazon Herbs. You can also drink tea to help break up the congestion. Essential oils like peppermint and eucalyptus are great to place on a cottonball in your pillowcase or vaporizer.

As for not spreading it...wash your hands, change your sheets, throw out the snotty tissues...and get some immune booster options for your family (they can take the Camu C and the cold-eez. you can add Airborne)

If you are preparing for flu season...get a flu shot if you're up to those things. If you already have it, God bless you! Get some rest and get well soon!
You have to let the flu run its course, but you can relieve the symptoms. Ask your pharmacist about taking a decongestant, vitamin C will also hwlp a little. Staying well hydrated helps a lot too, so drink lots of water. Some effervescent tablets contain Vit C, Aspirin and a decongestant, those should help you...
