How can I retrieve proof of having the MMR vaccine?
Question:
Answers:
If you can't find proof that you've had the vaccination you can always have your doctor order a MMR titer (a blood test). It will be able to prove whether or not you're immune to the diseases (measles, mumps, rubella). It usually takes 2-4 weeks for the results to get back (depending on which lab performs the test).
Other Answers:
the doctor who gave you the mmr will still have a record
You can contact your high school and/or elementary school for these records. Also, if you can't locate them there is a blood test your doctor can do to see if you need immunizations for mumps. Had mine done yesterday cause I work for a university and they want us all to get vaccinated or prove we don't need to. Many college students in Florida, including myself, must present proof of MMR vaccination in order to enroll. I would check with your high school to see if they have your records on file.
