Freak accident.?

Question:

How harmful is it to get food coloring in your eye? I was trying to get some food coloring out of the bottle but the hole was clogged so I stuck a pin in it to open it up and it splashed out and got in my eye. And how long will my eye be blue?

See if there are precautions on the box. Read and follow. Flush with a lot of water.

If you eye doesn't clear up by morning, then see a eye doctor. Mean while it would be best if you got some eye drops to help clear and clean the coloring out.

Check with your doc and also read the label on tjhe bottle. You can usually survive with a through rinsing of your eye. Please do both recommendations for safety reasons. You'll be fine.

I don't think it's harmful, since it was something edible.
Maybe you should use some artificial tears to help clean it out. Anyway it shouldn't last longer than what it does when is on your skin.
