Are sleeping pills bad for you?
Question:
Answers:
If you are referring to an over-the-counter product, that usually means a dose of benadryl with some other inactive ingredients. Two benadryl (over the counter strength) will not harm the normal adult.
On the other hand, if you are having sleeping problems, you might want to discuss it with your doctor. There are some very effective sleep aids (prescription) available now, that aren't habit forming and can help you to get a full night's sleep. A deep sleep is very important to maintaining good health. Sleep deprivation can do all sorts of nasty things to the human body. Our modern lifestyle does a lot to interfere with a normal awake/sleep cycle.
Please consider discussing this situation with your doctor.
only if you become dependent that can become a problem.
i heard if you take 36 that is very good for you, makes you want to fly.
If taken every day yes, they can become a dependancy.
Yes. If you are taking sleeping pills EVERY night because you can't sleep, you need to see a doctor. Those pills are not meant for those suffering from a sleep disorder, which you may have. Nothing is good in excess. :)
Maybe if you stopped taking the uppers during the day you would be able to sleep at night, ever think of that??
yes they can be habit forming ( no warning on chocolate either ) you need to look into other ways to sleep and double dosing is really not good ( while reading labels note the not for long term use )
You would be better off going to a sleep hygiene clinic. Talk to your doctor about it. All sleeping pills are habit forming. The more you take them the less you will be able to fall asleep without them. And the fact that you are taking more pills to wake you up in the morning is a bad thing too.
Any artificial means necessary to conduct life "normally", is not going to present any more risk to your life than struggling without them. Just don't abuse.
Stop using sleeping pills and uppers - both are bad for your health. You are becoming dependent on them!
Try taking Valium or melatonin before bed, both are natural and should help you fall asleep.
Yes; ANY chemical concoction drempt up by modern science is bad for you.
yes you can become dependent on sleeping pills and if you keep taking them you will not be able to get sleep by natural means
