For those with pre-existing conditions, how did you FINALLY manage to get health insurance?

Question:
I am having a difficult time even though I'm in the clear now with a health crisis I suffered through back my twenties.

Also, please note, I am independently employed. I've considered taking a sh1t job at a desk but I'm afraid I'll turn into what-is-his-name from Office Space lol and go absolutely insane!

Answers:
Some companies cover preexisting conditions. Try getting a quote online. I am paying less than half of what I was paying before after I got a quote online. I was able to compare the different prices/coverages to get the best deal.

Fill out one simple form & get multiple quotes:

Why don't you contact Blue Cross Blue Shields(Blue Advantage). My insurance at work was way too high for family coverage so I put my asthmatic son on BCBS and I only pay $125 a month which is a whole lot better than $385 a month. I disclosed that he had asthma. I had a waiting period of 3 months before all his meds were covered. Yours may be no waiting period of maybe up to a year but at least you will have insurance incase anything happens.
There are three ways:

you can pay through your nose for mediocre insurance that may or may not cover anything related to previous conditions.

you can get a job with health coverage.

Try to qualify for medicaid (I think thats the right one, I get it confused with medicare).
Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler...

I hated sitting behind a desk. I much preferred to be a free roaming field rep/photographer. Still, I had group insurance through my employer. I've never been successfully self-employed... yet.
