Need a sight to compare prescription drug prices between stores.?

Question:
For instance, Walmart vs. Walgreens and Costco.

Answers:
I worked in a pharmacy for years. Call them. You have to know exactly what you need though. You might be really getting a generic even though your prescription has the brand name on it. Some brand names don't have generics, but pharmacies are required to give you the generic, if available, unless specified by your MD. You also need to know how many pills, and what strength they are (5mg, 200mg, etc.) Pharmacies go through this a lot and if you talk to someone experienced there who's not busy, especially a pharmacist, they can walk you through it if you tell them what you want.

Not all Walmarts, Walgreens and Costcos will have the same price at every location. The reason is they usually try to stay as close to the competition in their area as possible, so it varies from area to area.

Walmart price matches stores in your area I believe, but ask to make certain.
You have to call them and ask. Prices change to quickly to post them on the website.

Remember---Walmart just started the program where you can get a lot of medications for only $4.00. Call them first and see if your medication is on that list.
