Antibiotics?

Question:
Does anyone know if these antibiotics can cause you to skip a period? They are clidamycin, hydrocodine, and predisone. I was on all three for my wisdom teeth being pulled out (and knocked out) and this month I skipped my period. Thanks :)

Answers:
Any antibiotic will mean oral contraceptives as less effective, I would check with my Dr or pharmacy in regards to missing a period. If pregnancy isn't a concern and the medication isn't the reason then it could be the stress of having the wisdoms pulled, stress will stop a period.
Call the pharmacy where you had the Rx filled and ask because prednisone causes all kinds of things but I don't know if it causes your period to not come. I do know that birth control can be less effective with some meds and you should ask pharmacist about this if it applies.
Talk to the pharmacist and see if that is a side effect or even the doctor that prescribed them. Medications can cause many side effects everyone is different so maybe you are having a side effect that is not listed.

ALso if you are sexually active you might want to try a pregnancy test. ;)
Yup, I'd say try a pregnancy test. Taking antibiotics can make your birth control ineffective.
I know this isn't really an answer to your question, I just wanted to stress how important it is to take the whole course of antibiotics. You probably already know this but bacteria are getting stronger and stronger because so many people don't finish their antibiotics courses. They only take them til they start feeling better which just lets the bacteria build up an immunity instead of killing it straight out. So you MUST finish the course even if you're feeling better! Sorry to be so off topic, I just feel it's a really important thing for everyone to know.
