my 7 months old son lost 4 oz in one week.i that normal?
Question:
Answers:
4 oz. could be merely water weight. As long as there are no other symptoms or weight loss of a pound or more, do not worry. Most importantly, is he eating regulary, urinating, and defecating regulary? If you are in doubt, call your pediatrician!
Other Answers:
You better start feeding him again.
Seriously, that is normal at his age. I would watch it. He may be going through a growth spurt, whereas he'll drop as much as 8 oz. sleep a lot, then put on almost a full pound in less than two to three weeks. If he has other symptoms, such as being extremely irritable, colicky, feverish, vomiting, have diarrhea, etc.. consult physician immediately.
Hope that helped.
Is he sick or just recovered from any illness? If so then that could be the underlying cause. If not, is he drinking well during during feeding time? Is he also taking semi solid food too? is he responding well to all these?
If he is then you don't have to worry. If not, you might want to send him to see a doctor. If you have not start him on semi solid food, maybe that might be the case. He might be hungry.
yes thats ok.
