I would say no. If you are talking about getting the proper rays to get vitamin D among other things my understanding is that you need the ULTRAVIOLET RAYS for this. Infrared rays create heat but ultraviolet rays do the chemical reaction thing - so to speak.

Ultraviolet rays don't readily pass through glass. Especially NOT polarized glass like in UV sunglasses.
