Can you overdose on aleve??
Question:
my friends cousin did it and im worried.
Answers:
Aleve is a trade name for Naprosyn, a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) similar to ASA or Ibuprofen. While available over the counter in USA, it is a prescription product in other countries, such as Canada.
All NSAIDs have potential to cause stomach ulcers, gastritis, and bleeding. They can also cause kidney failure in excess doses..not liver failure, that is from Acetominiphen (Tylenol)
16 is a very large dose in a day.and may cause any of the above, or just an upset stomach and heartburn symptoms.
Of course you can overdose on Aleve.you can overdose on any drug (that's why it has dosage instructions).
yes you can overdose and 16 tablets is worrisome..it can cause serious liver damage.
