Ibuprofen works for both & if you are breast feeding it won't hurt the baby. Congratulations on your new arrival

motrin...it has an anti-inflamatory in it..it will help with th pain and swelling

I would contact the Hospital as well as the Dr office where my Physician is and where the C-section was performed. My Daughter just had a C-section and she was given instructions BEFORE being released from Hospital what to do if she had any problems. Good luck and am praying for you ^j^ Also congrats on the little one :)
