Can you die if you break your neck?

Question: I thought yeah you do..but my friend and her dad said no you cant just a broken neck, that that was just in the movies where people died because of it. So can people really die with a broken neck and if so..describe to me what makes that kill them..thanks a million

Yes you can die if you break your neck...and yes you could live. It depends on how bad the injury is. And most likely if you live, you'll be paralized. But there is a few who live and are not paralized.
