Would it be possible to have reconstructive surgery for flail chest?

Question:

Apparently my chest and rib bones never healed properly after a good beating about several years ago. Do you think theres a doc that can even out my chest with minimal scarring? The right side of my chest is somewhat concaved....gross, huh? The looks of it does make me a bit insecure but mostly, its the sharp pains that come back every once in a while and I can hear it crackling when I stretch sometimes. Its getting more uncomfortable for me as the years go by.

If you're curious as to why I never sought medical attention when it happened, it was due to an ignorant mother....extremely ignorant in many ways.

There is a syndrome called Polland's Syndrome. Look it up on the web. Some will talk abot the different procedures and treatment options. If this has been affecting your breathing you need to be seen right away. Sometimes insurance might pick up the bill.

There's plenty of guys that have no issue with size (me included:). But you really do need to get it checked out if you feel their are issues. Pain, discomfort, etc. Sorry about angnorant mom, Sounds like she has abuse issues. You have no reason to be insecure. It's not about physical stuff. That t.v. crap, race around the world, etc. is only hipe and bs. It's all about feeling good about yourself and u have no reason not to. Sam
