Answers:
Okay, this will take a little explanation and the cure is almost worse, but it works and it is all-natural. Also, hundreds of thousands of people around the world use this cure, so it can't be that bad, right? We in this world are always on the go, from work, to school to whatever. When we eat, usually junk food cause it is fast we also eat fast. What happens is that not all food is digested because we ate it so fast. This causes pits to form in the inside lining of the stomach. Then any time we eat anything even a little spicy, like a taco or a slice of pizza the food gets stuck in those pits and instantly ferments with the stomach acids and causes acid-indigestion and acid reflux. What I do and have done for about 10 years(the first 5 days were murder)is drink herbal cayenne powder in a coffee-sized cup with warm water. Take about an eighth, a quarter or a half a teaspoon of 100,000 scoville unit(heat units) cayenne and mix it in the warm water. Put a little on your tongue and wait about 5 minutes for your stomach to start secreting the acids to break it up. Then over 15 to 20 minutes drink the cayenne and warm water. It burns going in and burns going out for about 5 days. I went through a lot of vaseline and Preparation H, believe me. But, like I said, it works. It rebuild the lining of the stomach, takes about two weeks, it rebuild the heart muscle, lowers cholesterol 50 points in three days. Helps prevent prostate, colon and uterine cancer. Cleans the bowels, the liver and the kidneys. Helps sore joints. Clears up the eyes and helps to hear better. Cayenne and it's heat is one of if not the best of natures natural heal-alls. Try it and stick with it. After you get to the point where you don't sweat, eyes don't water and you don't turn red, double the dose. Keep doing this until you can do one teaspoon in a coffee-sized cup three times a day. Drink plenty of pure bottled water in between times. I usually do three cups a day every four hours. I haven't been sick in 10 years either. When you reach the point where you don't turn red, eyes don't water and you don't sweat after using a teaspoon in the cup three times a day, you only have to do it once a week. Oh yeah, besides all of what it does, it also thins the blood to the consistancy of ink, so your brain gets all the oxygen it needs and you never get headaches ever again. May fortune smile upon you and allow you to heal yourself forever.
Excess acid in your stomach. You need to take some tums or suck on a peppermint to get rid of the burning. I have found that sugary sodas and spicy foods close to bed time will give me acid reflux. When I tried the Atkins diet, I could eat anything at anytime and not get heart burn (or gas for that matter).
If nothing is helping with this and it has really been a couple of days you should really see your doctor. You might something a lot worse than heart burn going on.
Acid in the stomach (normal) escapes up the esophagus towards your throat (not normal).

Easily treated with antacid
It could be acid reflux and that will eat at your esophagus so you really should go get checked out. If that's the case it could cause lung cancer also.... MILK.drink a lot of milk and antacids it should help crackers and bread too! Hope this helps but if it does not cure in a few days the best thing to do is see a doctor.!
It's the acid in your stomach that's giving you the heartburn. There's a number of things you can try. If you don't have the money to go out to get something, eat about 3-4 pieces of white bread. That helps to soak up the acid in the stomach. If you can get to a drug store or even a grocery store, get Prilosec and take as directed. That's the best out there. I have G.E.R.D. which really sucks and about every 2 days have to take Prilosec. Also, when sleeping, prop up your head with a couple of pillows. That'll help you get to sleep with heartburn.
The flap that closes the stomach off from the esophagus is not doing its job and stomach acids are being sprayed up into your esophagus giving you the sensation of heartburn. I've found that being out of shape and stress exacerbate the problem.
good question i dont know
What cause sheartburn -
Being overweight or pregnant creates pressure on the abdomen that weakens the LES.

LES: A muscle called the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) acts as gatekeeper, opening to let food into the stomach and then closing to keep acid out of the esophagus.

Smoking weakens the LES and in addition dries up saliva that helps dilute the stomach acid.

Chocolate, alcohol, onions, garlic, and other dietary items cause the LES to relax.

Fatty foods have the same effect.

Acidic foods like citrus fruits, tomatoes, and coffee increase production of stomach acid.

Overeating increases the production of acid, and a large quantity of food creates extra pressure on the abdomen.

Tight clothing squeezes the midsection and tends to push stomach contents upward.

Lying down after eating allows acid to flow more easily into the esophagus.

Self-Care Remedies
Eat frequent small meals instead of one or two large ones; this will prevent excess production of stomach acid.

Limit problem substances, such as coffee (including decaf), alcohol and fatty foods.

A pleasant alternative to coffee after a meal is a cup of warm herbal tea--chamomile, ginger, peppermint, marshmallow, meadowsweet or slippery elm--which has the added benefit of relieving heartburn discomfort.

Stay up at least three hours after eating your last meal or large snack before going to bed.

Raising the head of your bed several inches will put gravity to use in preventing reflux during the night.

Chewing gum can provide short-term heartburn relief by stimulating the production of saliva, which dilutes and flushes out stomach acid. Drinking a glass of lukewarm water after a meal may produce a similar effect.

Supplements -
Alo vera juice, and Calcium carbonate are helpful.
Seek medical help if heartburn occurs more than 3 times a week for over 2 weeks. If it is continued 2-3 days and not relived by lifestyle modifications and use of antacids or low doses of acid blockers, seek medical help - as well.

Just in case you do not review the following REFERENCE(S) please NOTE:

The pain of heartburn can often be confused with pain that is actually due to more serious heart problems, such as a heart attack. If you or a family member has a history of heart disease, you need to be particularly aware of this possibility. If your pain is accompanied by sweating, nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing, or is worse with activity, you may need to have your heart evaluated immediately.
