I tried Mederma on a 2" scar from surgery and it did.basically nothing! My wife swears by vitamin E and tho' it seems to work for her, I like my scars! Maybe it's a guy thing.or I'm just plain nuts! :P

I think you are located int he UK, in the USA they sale scar reduction lotions over the counter at the pharmacy. I think also in the UK, best ask the pharmacist first, if not a MD should be able to prescribe you something.
Vitamin E. capsules. Take the capsule, cut it open - wait, don't use a knife - you might get another scar. Open it - and rub the liquid over the scars. This helps a lot. Remember to get the ones with the gel/liquid inside. That helped me the most. Lotion with vit E, keep it mosturized.
