How much time do you spend washing your hands?
Question:
Answers:
My customary washing time for standard perfunctory washing is about 45 secs. a pop. If I have been handling the garbage, my shoes, cooking, etc, then I tend to wash for two to three minutes with the hottest water I can stand. In a typical day, I wash my hands 10-12 times. Invariably, though, our household uses antibacterial liquid soap. I also encourage my five-year old resident nephew to wash his hands frequently, as well. He has just started to use warm water on his own, rather than cold, because he now understands more of the nature of germs.

10 seconds is sufficient enough to get rid of germs. I used to work as a nursing assistant, and we were taught that you need a minimum of 10 seconds, but more is good. Also if you use Alcohol Gel, you can only use it 3 times before you actually have to wash your hands. nunya bidnez
