I have a hamstring injury, what is the best pain reliever for it?

Question:

Answers:
I am a CPHT (Certified Pharmacy Technician).

You want to take care of the pain which is caused by inflammation.
Try an anti-inflammitory such as, Advil (ibuprofen), Aleve (Naproxen Sodium), and you can combine Tylenol (acetaminophen) with these two for added pain relief.

Get well soon!

ice several times a day for 20 minutes each for 48 hours and get a script for an antiinflammatory such as ibuphrofen.

YOGA Hi, I agree with the Pharmacist, and others. Try to keep the swelling down, ice, and try light massage, in an upward direction just to move the fluid build up, and help place the new Collagen coming into the site for repair.
If you take too many Meds. for pain, you can re-injure, because of lack of sensitivity to the area. Don't stretch past the point of resistance at this point, when you get there, back off. Whirllpool is good for circulation, however, don't use too much heat, it will increase swelling. Elevate.. Ease up on salt intake..
