Restoril VS Ambien? Sleeping Pills?
Question:
Answers:
At 19 years old, you shouldnt be having problems sleeping. If you do, there are other factors being involved. Are you under alot of stress? Are you drinking too much caffeine? Are you taking anything illegal?
Now, if you just need help on certain nights, I wouldnt recommend a sleeping pill that 1) is expensive, 2) may not work well and if it does may make you "grogged" out the next day and 3) make become habit forming.
As an RN who was forced to work night shift, but has a body that can not acclaimate to sleeping during the day, I would take Benadryl. It is safer and less habit forming. If you got to Walmart they have the Equate brand which is alot cheaper, but basically what you are looking for is sleeping pills with diphenhydramine hydrochloride (aka Benadryl). It will not be hard to find because just about every OTC sleep med out there uses Benadryl. Very few dont.
Hope this helps
Actually you should talk to your doctor about Rozerem...it is less habit forming than the previous two and helps you acheive a better sleep.
