How to keep a lip pierce open?

Question:

I've gotten a couple already done but have had to take off the ring or stud for a job. I would like to pierce it again, but this time I'd like to keep it .... any ideas on how to keep a hole in my face open? What's the best thing that I could use to substitute for a ring / stud that's UNNOTICEABLE??

IS / ARE THERE ANY PRODUCT(S) THAT WERE MADE ESPECIALLY FOR THIS??

Answers:
The clear plugs are called retainers. Get a glass one, people say they are the best and the least noticable. Depending on how your lip is pierced, it may be slightly noticable, but nowhere near as noticable as your lip ring.

Some people use fishing line and cut it off even with the lip, but I dont know whether thats a good idea or not.

Take the stud out only for work. If you wear it after work and overnight it'll stay open.
