are tanning beds good for arthritis?
Question:
Answers:
tanning beds arent good for anything but obtaining skin cancer. tanning is really bad for people and with the advances theyve made in sunless tanning its SO easy to get a nice tan without the sun.
you can get the heat you want from a tanning bed many other ways.a heating pad, warm bath, hot tub, wet towel warmed in the microwave.try one of those, theyre MUCH healthier.

I wouldn't think so
Tanning beds are terrible for your skin and will cause skin cancer. they may make your arthritis feel better with the heat though. I'm not sure they are "good" for it, but the heat from them sure do make the pain go away for a while. Makes me feel better anyway!
no
no?
I DONT REALLY THINK THEY R GOOD 4 ANYTHIN
HAVE A GREAT DAY
no they are not - and they can give you skin cancer
warming your body in the mornign will however help you to move through the stiffness stage of arthrtitis a little faster
try a hot shower or a hot bean bag
it is the heat that makes it feel better. i have never heard of that, but you never know but ask a doctor.
i don't think so
no
To the extent that they may provide heat and the rays help to create vitamin d in the body. it is discouraged but yes, it will help arthritis
water aerobics is MUCH better for arthritis.
A heating pad or blanket will do the same job! I broke my back 8 years ago and it does help to relax, but the skin cancer thing is something to really think about if you were going to tan often. Use a sunscreen instead of a tanning accelerator.
i've never heard of it. i've only ever heard that they are good for SOME vitamin deficiencies and SOME skin conditions (but at the same time, we all know that they can CAUSE some major skin "conditions" as well.)
NO. in fact the only thing is that they are hot and heat feels good for aching joints.
The frequency of light is actually bad for you (much worse than the sun itself) this is because certain frequencies are boosted to create the tanning effect more efficiently.
Some people have small bumps that appear over their skin after using these beds. Tanning beds are not a good idea. They cook you little by little its disguisting.
