You could indeed be allergic to his cologne or soap. Best bet though is that his whiskers are causing a type of burn known as whisker burn. Facial hair can be quite coarse and irritates sensitive female facial skin quite easily. My hubby of 19 years hasn't got the understanding of this yet. My answer to him is try rubbing sandpaper on your face and see how it feels. Same thing.
