pierced-ear problem!!.

Question:
2 days ago a had a hypo-allergenic earring in my ear. the bak of it was stubborn and wen it came out my ear was red. the next nite i slept with a gold post. now im trying to put it bak in (from the front AND THE BACK) and it seems to be blocked, what to do !??!

Answers:
You can use any type of triple antibiotic ointment with pain reliever to coat your ear lobe and the post of the earring, then push the post back through the skin. A generic store brand ointment is just as good as a name brand. After you get the earring back in, soak a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and drip it on your ear piercing as you spin the earring around and around. Use the alcohol and spinning your earring method two times a day for about 10 days. Alcohol will burn but will kill any infection and also cause the pierced skin to scar, which will help it not to grow closed anymore. Also, do not remove your earring from a new piercing for the 10 day period.

The same thing's happened to me a few times after I got my ears pierced. I pushed the earing through, it'll most likely make a popping noise if you do that but it normally doesn't hurt too much, it's just your ear trying to heal itself.
Just slowly keep trying to get it in. I have this problem at times too. Only buy nickle free earrings from now on, or real gold.
Take everything out, let it heal, then try again in a few months.
If it does not heal properly, go to the doctor. You may need anitbiotics for an infection.

Sometimes, your body is just not in the mood to be pierced.

#1 You are not supposed to take a stud out of a new piercing.
#2 If you did it , even by mistake or a problem with the stud, desinfect it carefuly before to put it back IMMEDIATELY and clean well your ear, 3 times a day for 10 days, then 2 times for a month or more.
#3 Some people are allergic to anything but gold, even "hyppo-allergenic" and the body try to reject it which can cause redness. Also, newly piercings try to close themselves very fast, so do not remove, unless you want to give up. My sister had problem with her earrings for one year, she persisted and then it was fine, but she used gold only.
if you don't wear earrings often when you do put one in it is normal for your ear to turn red and to be a little sore. if it seems 'blocked' it probably means that the hole is closing. you can either force the earring through yourself (clean it thoroughly with anti bacterial soap first!!) or get your ear repierced. if u don't want this problem then keep your earrings in all the time.
ps alcohol is drying and usually irritating. it can also kill helpful bacteria necessary for healing. if you insist though, dilute it with water.
