Can your belly button rip open? How do you clean it?

Question: First off is it possible for your belly button to open up or is it sealed with no way of opening? Also what's the proper way of cleaning it? I use soap and water but I don't know if it's enough. I once put a q-tip a little in and something was on it that looked like a speck of blood, what's that mean?

What I recalled when I small.I was told not to touch the belly button.it can cause stomach ache.

Usually when taking shower..just wipe the normal way ..sometimes if there's dirt like.just use a cotton bud with some lotion / ointment & wipe very very slowly just arround the side .not the middle part .

If there's speck of blood , do see an internist & have it check..but as long as you find the pain.think should be ok ..
