I just took my ear lobe piercing studs out after 5 weeks, and the holes bled. What to do?

Question:
The studs were hard to remove because the backings were on very tight. When I finally removed them, a little blood came out of the piercings and each one looked red with blood. They didn't look healed at all, but like recently pierced holes.

The problem is, right after I removed them and they started bleeding, I put in other nickel-free studs. But, I followed my gut and took those out and put my original piercing studs back in. Now I'm worry that I may have an infection. Still, I cleaned my hands before touching them, and they don't look or feel infected.

What should I do??

Answers:
clean the holes with a solution you can buy at most jewelry stores, made to cleanse your new piercings. ive heard you can soak your ears in salt water, but you should do more research on that first, i dont kno the facts. i would also go to the doctors.

Other Answers:
go to the doctor and have a check!

If you put your original studs back in, make sure you "turn" them a few times a day. And I'd continue to use the solution (or hydrogen peroxide) on them a couple times a day. are you sure that you do not need to see a doctor? If not keep cleaning your holes with peroxide and be sure to use only real gold in your ear until it heals..10k--14k

I also got my ears pierced 5 weeks ago, and I am scared to remove the original studs for exactly the same reason. The place where I had them pierced (Claire's) told me 6 weeks and I am going to stick to that rule, even though I am dying to try the new earrings I bought last week. I am not red or anything, but if there is a problem, I would go back to them for advice.
