what is the big difference of being autism and autistic?

Question: my old friend have a big problem her younger sister have a disorder behavior and the doctor advice to confine her in a children for autistic school! but he was not agry on that! pls a ineed a little advice on it or you can send him a email at hotchick_28000@yahoo.com
