Question:
For the past two days my throat has been hurting a little bit. Then in the morning when i wake up its all cracked until like the afternoon. How can i stop this? Are there any certain drinks/fluids that would help my voice to not crack? Would orange juice help?

You may have picked up a minor throat infection. You could let nature run its course for a week or so.

orange jucie would probably help. i guess you should just drink something frist thing in the morning. maybe keep a bottle of water beside your bed. You can try to drink warm water every morning to soothe your throat a bit first, then drink a glass of salt water (Warm water mix with a tablespoon of salt) in the afternoon or night. That's the remedy for our Chinese culture as the salt water can cool down the 'hot energy' which 'burning' your throat but I have to warn you not to over drink the salt water just to see quick result cuz' you will get ill, try to drink like 1 or 2 times a day. If you wanna avoid your voice from cracking, you should drink warm water every morning and prevent ice beverage all the time (It's not like you can't have coke forever but you have to minimize the amounts you drink). Plus as supplement you can drink some honey water (Water mix with honey). That's what the radio DJ did.

Lat and final treatment is take hot water and add some salt and gurgle it! Do it before and after sleep!

take a glass of hot lemon juice/ grated ginger and honey last thing at night

get steam on it. Put your head over steam morning and night. Try gently humming to wake up the voice before you speak as well. Don't drink cold drinks but try a cup of tea to keep the muscles warm.
