lump on troat?
Question:
Answers:
throat I think is the word.... a lump on the lower part of the throat can be caused by a number of things- I was thinking for some reason -you may be referring to a goitter. A lump caused by a underactive thyroid. This can be serious and you should see your regular doctor to make sure its not a goitter. If he suspect it he would refer you to a specialist- an Endocrinologist. He would then probably prescribe you a synthetic hormone that your underactive thyroid normally produces called thyroxin. The medication is called Synthroid. BTW, Goitters can also be caused by anything from a lack of Iodine in your diet to exposure to nuclear radioactive poisoning.
