What is heartburn?
Question:
Answers:
Heartburn is not your heart burning its a burning sensation you get thats in your esophagus near your heart. Whats happening is the acid in you stomach is traveling up your espophagus and irritating the lining of it. There is a vavle at the bottom of your esophagus that fuctions to keep the acid out of that area. Your valve could be malfunctioning or it could be a number of things. What I try to do is try not to lie down for at least 30 minutes after you finish your meal to prevent the acid finding its way towards the vavle and your esophagus.
You could have Acid Reflux.
