what is a normal rate heartbeat for a female aged 31?

Question:
my heartbeat is 130/140 per minute as i have chronic abdominal pain. thanx

Answers:
normal heart rate should be under 100, ideally 60-80 for a woman your age. however, pain will increase a person's heart beat, so it isnt shocking that your pulse is up as a result of pain. i would, however, have this checked out as running too high a pulse (tachycardia) is not good for your heart and can cause problems with your heart. i would visit a doctor and see if there is any medication he can prescribe to help lessen your heart rate, such as a beta blocker medication (metoprolol, toprol, etc).

Other Answers:
About 72 to 82 beats a minute. Yours is very fast. It's called tachycardia. You should definately go to a doctor.
