What insect repellant should I use?

Question:
I am going back to Greece next year ( I know i'm premature but I get so excited) and wanted to know what is best insect repellant to use. Last time I went I didn't use any cos never had a problem when I went to other countries, and I got severly bitten (had to go to docs). What is a really good repellant? And do I put it on before or after sun cream?

Answers:
use Lemon Cologne use it anytime its cheap and mossies don't like lemon, but you wont smell too bad.

Other Answers:
Something with deet, like OFF. After sunblock.
to be effective, use something that has a minimum of 30% deet
Autin (spelt wrong is great)
baygon
Eat lots of garlic and use Avon Skin So Soft on your skin. Deet is toxic; I wouldn't put that on my dog.
Eat marmite. It makes you taste and smell foul to insects
use essential oils lemon grass or eucalyptus diluted in water are very effective and cheap...or in an aquas cream
There are sunscreens that contain DEET just for this purpose, and they are the best ones to use. I know Coppertone makes one. I think it is called Bugs and Sun. Have fun!
Take B complex for a month before going and while you are there. Put 10 drops of each tea tree and euctalyptus essiental oils in your body products (shampoo, body wash, lotion) and 20 drops in the laundry detergent if you use liquid.
if you want something natural...citronella is a good one for keeping the mozzies at bay.
