What do you think about skinny models being turned away from spanish catwalks?

From a Dude's perspective, I think that it sends a good message. I don't like the ladies to look like Skeletor. I would prefer that women look healthy and for each woman that varies a little bit.
BMI is a little off, in my opinion. I am 5' 8" and according to the BMI, I have to be 145lbs to be in a good range. Well, i am 180lbs and still have 10 more pounds to go before I am at a good weight with a low body fat %. yet that would still be over the BMI index's recommendations!
So, ladies, forget about the BMI index. Eat well, exercise and feel good about yourselves. Being 5'6" and 100lbs with your ribs stretching your skin is not a good look. If you got curves, great! If you don't, that's cool, too.
Designers can sometimes be an elitist bunch of a-holes and you don't deserve to be made to feel bad about yourselves just because some designer thinks that heroin-chic is the ideal. The ideal is what you are comfortable with in YOUR OWN SKIN.
The Dude.
I think it's about time. Models do not represent the general female form, and women have been hating themselves far too long because they have a little extra weight. I'm happy to see some specialty models having normal bodies, and happy to see the trend. I hope it continues.
