Wellbutrin XL: side effect ringing in ears?

I started on Wellbutrin XL and am having terrible time with a loud buzzing in my ears, especially in a quite room. Has anyone had this side affect and had it go away without stopping Wellbutrin XL.

This is a side effect and before it makes itself at home forever. Have your Dr try other drugs than Wellbutrin. This isn't a body friendly drug anyway. Call your Pharmacy and ask them about this and what he/she thinks you should do. That's what they go to school for. Dr's know bodies. Pharmacist (No Spellcheck) know drugs and the effects on the body.. Use your networking system. Call the drugstore! Good luck

Yes, and not only that, but I found Wellbutrin to cause irrational mood swings. I became very angry and snapped at people all the time. I am now on Citalopram (generic for Celexa). It works for me. Be sure it is the only thing that might cause ringing in your ears. Any type of loud noise can cause tinnitus, a ringing in the ears. goes away after about a month but can be permanent.
