Hi well first off all how do you know its a sprain and not a fracture, have you been and had a x-ray to rule out a fracture ? Any sort off sprain can take a while to heal some times just as long as a slight fracture and the pain is simular too.First off all you need to keep you arm elevated in a sling so your hand is nearly touching your shoulder,by doing his will help any swelling you have or will get. Then you need to remove all bracelets, rings etc especially rings as if your fingers swell you will have alot off problems getting them off and will have to have them cut off.Take regular pain killers and if you have anti-inflammatries take them.Keep your fingers moving all the time this will help with circulation.Place a ice pack on to your wrist but not directly on your skin wrap it up in a towel. All this will help but if you are still having problems in a wk to 10 days see your gp for further advice.Good Luck
dont sprain it in the first place we all know what youve been upto
