an LVN is the same as an LPN...just depends on which part of the country you are from...down south they are known as LVN's and up north we are known as LPN's....licensed practical nurse and licensed vocational nurse...different names, same job duties

Some states license this level of nurses as Licensed Vocational Nurses and some states license them at Licensed Practical Nurses.

The titles are equal.

Both have associate degrees in nursing usually requiring 2 yrs of nursing education.

i'm an lpn in ky. went to a technical-vocational school for a yr. that was 20 yrs ago!! an rn is a registered nurse...requires an associate degree from a college or university. unless things have changed!! oh,...lpn and lvn are the same thing...
