my son has to have grommets in again.....?

Question:
my son had grommets put in 3 years ago and evrything improved , his learning at school and so on but then when they fell out it all started to go down hill again , after many trips to the hospital they have decided on putting grommets back in again as hes getting ear infections one after anothe and cant hear properly...he will be 10 in dec, anyone else out there with the same problem?...any help on this would be great.

Answers:
I suffered all throughout childhood with ear infections and have grommets in on more than once occasion so it‘s normal to have them in again, as they are meant to fall out. My speech was effected to some degree with pronunciations although I turned out to be a well rounded adult who can pronounce hospital properly and I’ve tasted the worst medicine out there!

Once I started hitting close to my teens the ear infections seem to disappear, be it that or the work of the hospital, I never had to see the hospital again from 12 onwards, so there could be light at the end of the tunnel soon enough.

Although if I pick up a cold now I’m liable to get blocked ears, I’d say more so than anyone else, but apart from that I’ve gone unaffected.

I don’t know about the hospital you attend, but if he’s extra sweet to the nurses they’ll make him coco/hot chocolate before bed time! ;)
