What is the best way to reduce Stress?

Question:
My boyfriend constantly has a eye twitch that i think is because of stress, any ideas how we can go about realieving some of this stress to allow his body to relax a little bit more? He says its been going on for about 2 months now.

Answers:
He needs to change his life style a bid, change his eating habits lose some pounds no more sodas with caffeine also no coffee.
Exercise is very important he needs to walk fast or run 30 minutes minimum a day . You have to be nice to him and give him some massage or he can go to a person for a real pro massage i personal think that a massage with love is the best .If you don't see a change in 20 days he needs to go to the doctor to check his eye twitch just to be on the safe side .let me now if you need more help .Also making love is great helps a lot .

Other Answers:
take a swim in the pool. believe me it works and maybe some time in a jacuzzii! i know this for sure it works.

yell, or just go and burn some energy. works for me. I use half a lemon in hot water. When you are stressed you lower your acidity levels and this drink seems to sooth that. I used to get bad pressure headaches (I know it isn't a twitch but still.) and this worked a treat. It is also great for metabolism.

exercise takes a lot of stress out of life. If he doesn't want to do that then take him out every now and then and do something he enjoys. Then he can focus on you to instead of the craziness of life.

Honestly, psychotherapy is good. It worked for me. Other than that it is important to identify the causes and then walk away from them, physically or mentally. The eye twitch (which I also get on occasion) is a release valve. Sometimes this can be traded off for a different one. Sports is a good alternative.

Try excercise. It's a great stress reliever. Also, a warm soak in a jacuzzi, a relaxing getaway, a night out,or a long massage. He could talk to his doctor and ask for suggestions. There are anti-anxiety medications that work. go for a long walk

relieving stress is all about what makes you stress free. make sure its something healthy as far as don't try to eat more than you should while stress. try exercising, taking a bath, lying down and resting, give him a massage, try controlled breathing, or take a vacation.

Go for a walk if you can. Read a book. Take a long hot bath. Light candles around you in the living room and watch a really scary movie which will keep you from thinking about stuff. Our brains need re-directing sometimes. If you are having a difficult time in your life, go to the doctor and request that he/she put you on Buspar. This drug helps you not stress, and your brain has a change to catch up with itself, and you can sleep. Its not a type of drug that you "feel", not a trippy drug, you won't feel a thing. But with a low dosage twice a day, one in am and one in afternon around 4-5 o'clock. You will indeed feel much better. But I personally use candles, even the packages of tealights (usually 50 in a bog_ for about $3.99 at Walgreens or Target. I close out the world for two days, I call it "I'm going into Hibernation", I close the drapes, unplug the phone, don't open the bils in the mail for those two days, while placing the tealights all around you. Be sure they won't catch anything on fire! And just relax. Take that bath, even if you are a guy! Just shut out the world for two days. It is a miracle! You'll want to do it more often! Go for it!

Relaxation techniques are good. Long walk, jogging, running, swimming, tennis play foot ball, exercise ---all tire you out and strain your muscles that at then end they crave for rest and relaxation.
Yoga and Meditation, Deep Breathe also act same way on brains.
If you want to relax your hand. arm musxcles just close your fist and make it stiff and tight . Now open your fist and relax.
So relaxation is opposite of strain. Same thinf for stress too.
