A cure for sinustitus?
Question:
Answers:
I suffer badly from sinusitis. a few years ago after numerous ops to clear the sinuses I went for an alergy test. It showed that I have an intolerance (not alergy) to dairy products, egg white and tartrazine (a colourant). I cut these things out of my diet and the results are amazing. It's difficult to avoid them altogether, but just limiting them to the occassional has made such a difference. Give it a try.

you can obviously buy other the counter medication such as sinutab or sudafed if you have tried all these i would recommend seeing gp as it could be an infection which they can prescribe nasal sprays and antibiotics for. all steam is good hot water with olbas oil or vicks in in a bowl place a towel over your head and breathe in the steam that can aid in clearing sinisitis too.
Cure? No. Treatment, yes. Nasal lavage is an effective prevention. At night, squirt or inhale some water up your nose so that it runs out the back. The water you need is prepared thus:
boil 1 liter of water with 1tsp of salt and 1 tsp of baking soda. Let it cool and bottle it. Inhale or spray that in your nose. The problem of sinus infections will be significantly lessened.
Don't forget the baking soda. It makes it not as hard on the nose. Salt alone burns.
After years of visits to the doctor /consultants and loads of Sudafed later I have found a cure that worked for me - Manual Lymphatic Drainage. It is a type of massage and my therapist concentrated on my face and neck. She used very light strokes but as she did it I could feel fluid draining down my throat. Two sessions later and 18 months on I have not had a sinus infection! To find a therapist in your area and more information go to www.mlduk.org.uk
You may need surgery to clear the sinuses and open any narrow areas that are preventing free flow of air. Contact your GP and ask to be referred to and ENT specialist.
nasal sprays i suppose- i sympathise with you i suffer with my sinuses too, its really horrible.
