The usual adult dosage is 500mg twice a day, but for children the dosage is 15mg per kg per day divided into a twice a day dose. (7.5mg per kg of childs weight every 12hrs)
please call a doctor. if you don't know how much to give, you cannot know if this is the right medication. I know that it is expensive to take a child to the doctor, but trust me, better safe than sorry.
