My recent nose piercing is red and sore. Is this okay?

Question:
This is probably a crazy question. I just got the piercing done yesterday. The area around the piercing is red and it's sore.which I suppose is normal for a recently done piercing. But I'm just worried because I got my nose pierced before and it did the same thing then got infected.

Answers:
Soreness and redness are normal for the first week of a nostril piercing. Just wash it twice daily with a liquid unscented antibacterial soap and water. You can also use H2Ocean, sterile saline wound wash (not cantact saline) or sea salt soaks.
No rubbing alcohol as that will just dry out a piercing
No hydrogen peroxide same reason
No Neosporin it can cause jewelry to reject

Other Answers:
yes your infected might as well go to your doctor now

r u cleaning it? what kind of ring? u may be sensitive to the kind of ring u r using (like the material), try a ring that is for sensitive ears or that is like silver or something.

Redness and soreness are signs of infection. Put some antibiotic ointment on it and see a doctor if it is bad.

see a doctor.it might get infected Keep it clean, don't play with it more than to rotate it once or twice a day, wash your hands before touching it and after touching it (your nose is filthy to begin with by nature). It's fresh. It's going to be red and tender for awhile. Follow the piercers instructions and you should be fine.

its not ok
maybe your skin is sensitive and maybe you didn't clean it well so go to a Dr and ask

Everyone sing along!

"Rudolf the red nosed reindeer!
Had a very shiny nose!
And if you ever saw it!
You would even say it glows!"

Repeat.
