I can't seem to make the pain in my head go away.?

Question:
I've been experiencing some pain on the left side of my head random times during the day. It doesn't really matter what triggers it; sound, light, smell, or nothing. I could be just sitting down and the pain will come and it'll last maybe for 10 or 15 seconds. Sometimes it gets so bad that my eye waters up or I can't see for a split second.
I've been dealing with this for a little less than a year now, and I've seen a doctor for it, but they can't figure out what it is. I need someone to help me!

Answers:
You mention a couple things which indicate a very sensitive nerve being in the process of inflamatory progression...How long ago did you present it to your doctor for diagnosis? Should my interpretation be accurate, you would have other symptoms as well, which you have not mentioned.. Perhaps some noises in the ear(s). Balance problem.. perhaps even more. Not as significant as the pain in the head but still indicating there is a nerve involvement. This is the type of case that chiropractors have had to make their professional expertise with.

We have to presume that aneurism and clots have been excluded from your diagnosis.

Other Answers:
Get more advice from different doctors, your first prognosis isn't always right and you don't want to regret waiting before its too late
just take advil or aleve and keep track how often it happens and go so see someone who is a specialist with the head... instead of a doctor.
brain cancer? see doctor immediately

malfunctioning alien/military implant?

or just take a Excedrin or2:)
take a pain pill
It could be the beginnings of migraine headaches. I have a sister who suffers from them on a regular basis, and they can be very painful, and can keep you flat on your back for days or longer. There are reliefs for them, but some will work for you, others will not. Only a doctor can be sure.
Try going on some anti-migraine meds like anti-depressants (yes this is a treatment for headaches) or beta-blockers, or calcium channel blockers. This happened to me for a while also look into any current medications you are on. The problem seemed to go away for me after I got off Depo-Provera and detoxed from it. Even pay attention to those you've been on for a while because it look a year before I started to see any problems.

You had better see an neurosurgeon and get a CT Scan or MRI to make sure you don't have anything going on in your head. Only one of these procedures can tell for sure!
