I had a mole removed 3 mths ago, leaving a scar. Now a blistery thing has formed over it.Should I be concerned?

Question:
It looks like a blister has formed with blood and pus, or maybe a pimple? It doesn't really hurt.. maybe a litle bit in the shower. It has been fine for the past 3 months, so I don't know why this happened. Could it be an infection?

Answers:
Its more than likely drainage from the incision under the scar tissue, possibly with a little infection. Have your doctor look at it. S/he will probably just drain it and possibly give you an antibiotic. Probably nothing to worry about but if its not going away you should have someone check it out. If there is continuing infection under the scar tissue it could go systemic and that would put your vital organs at risk.

Other Answers:
Sounds like it is infected - go back to the doctor right away.

STD's can be treated. It could be cancer. Please get this checked out by a doctor fast. Good luck
Hope

They have to make a deep cut when removing a mole. Perhaps it is infected, or perhaps you are irritating it somehow in the shower. The answer as always is to go see your doctor to put your mind at rest.
