Hello.
cracks in the tongue are very common. Some of them are normal variation. In other words the appearance of the tongue differs from one person to the other. If the cracks are long standing and not painful, then this is likely to be what we call geographical tongue as the tongue appears like a map with boundaries, seas and hills.A much furrowed tongue is called a scrotal tongue due to the appearance resembling the skin of the scrotum. This is again another benign normal feature and there should be no pain or discomfort. However if you have pain or discomfort then infection, inflammation or nutrient deficiency are very likely and you better see your doctor.
