Why do we get dizzy and we don't really know for a moment where are we if we stand up too quickly?

Question:
(I hope you know what I mean. It happens to me quite often and sometimes I land on the ground! Once I actually hurt my head.)

Answers:
When did you last have your blood pressure checked? If your blood pressure is on the low side then it takes longer for the blood to reach your brain when you stand up as it has to flow uphill very fast. Blood carries oxygen to the brain and a lack of oxygen makes you dizzy for a moment and also switches the brain off for a split second which disorientates you. The fact that you have fallen over means that your blood pressure should be checked.
has to do wit the blood flow being restored too quickly to the brain.

apparently whatever you were doing restricted blood flow. then you stood up and it was back to normal. kind of like bending a water hose and then straighting it out.
Blood rushes to your head quick. I know it's not easy to do, but try and get up slowly each time rather than jumping out of your seat. It's a nauseating feeling I know!
You may have low blood pressure and when you stand up quickly your brain is temporarily deprived of adequate blood
raising up to quickly, cuts oxygen to the brain
I did this last week and this week my ear hurts .It also could be your sugar.
get a check up lack of oxygen to brain could be early heart problem better safe than sorry ,,

good luck
You are probably dehydrated. Try drinking a sports drink every day and see if the feeling goes away. Also, make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. (Juice counts)

When we stand up, our blood pressure drops. If you are dehydrated and stand up your blood pressure drops more quickly and goes lower. That is what is making you dizzy.
it is called orthosatic hypotension, get slowly allow time for blood pressure to adjust
Its the sudden change in blood pressure relative to the pull of gravity - the blood stops getting to the brain as quickly as needed. Might sound strange but if you get to the point of being ready to stand and you hold your breath in the way that would make you go red in the face, know that holding it but with a bit of pressure - not to red in the face levels! just that little bit of pressure and you'll have no more problems I think. It is something even fighter pilots have to do to counteract g forces or they'd black out
When a person is sitting or lying down their heart dosnt have to work as hard and your blood pressure drops. When you stand up quickly it takes a second for your heart to get back up to pressure and your brain is without enough blood for a few seconds, it makes you feel dizzy and like you are going to pass out, it isnt harmful as long as it isnt happening every time you get up or if you feel faint while standing or walking. If it happens constantly see your doctor, you may have low or high blood pressure.
Because the blood rushes from your brain downward toward your feet. Some medications can cause this. It is called orthostatic hypotension, meaning the blood pressure drops rapidly when you suddenly stand from a sitting or lying position. This is not normal in a healthy person. Get it checked out.
if you get dizzy from rasing up too fast you may need to check your blood pressure its a sign of low blod pressure when you do that. you should pay close attention to how fast you get up from now on.
that happens to me all the time. sometimes my vision will slowly dissolve and everything turns black too. its because you have a low blood pressure, which is a lot better than having high blood pressure. however, you dont want your blood pressure too low. eat foods with more salt on them and drink lots of water. also, stand up slowly after you've been sitting or lying down for a while
go to the doctor and have a full work up done.
watch your BP.
low blood presssure. put ur head between ur legs. gets blood back to the brain and u wont faint
Hey there,

It seems that you are suffering from low blood pressure. Try some salt intake in your food.

I too get these fainting sort of spells and thats also because you are kind of tired and had a restless sleep, but the best bet is the blood pressure level either too high or too low.

You can go to see a doctor but not to worry.
It means you have low blood pressue and low sugar levels. you should eat more low gi foods like wholewheat bread, and brown rice.
