What should i do?

Question:
I think i might have sprained my ankle last wed. It is still kinda swollen and i have some pain once and a while. Sometimes when i get up to walk it cracks. Tomorrow i have dance and i dont know what to do, i dont know if i should dance or not. Can you please give me some suggestions on what i should do, either go to the doctor or if i shouldnt dance on it? What? Thanks.

Answers:
If you are still worried about it see the doc and get an x ray to make sure there are no cracks or stable fractures (your bones in ankles and wrists especially can break but be held in place by the surrounding bones and muscles, this is called a stable fracture) they can give way if stressed, like in dance and result in having to have surgery. Dont dance until you have checked out whether or not its broken. Keep in mind the old adage of R.I.C.E for sprains and strains. Rest - stay off it, let it heal, Ice - cool packs to keep the swelling down for the first couple of days then warm to encourage healing, Compression - dont forget the ace bandage while walking, Elevation, keep it above your heart also to reduce swelling. You can also add P to that and make it P.R.I.C.E the first part is of course prevention - be careful! Good luck, hope you heal quickly.
You should have gone to the doctor's office last Thursday. stay off of it! You may have a fracture.
i think you should get a brace and go to the doctor after then it should be better for the next 1
Well the more you walk on it, the worse it's going to get. But some ice on it, let it numb your ankle. Stay off it as long as you can, or until the swelling goes down. And there is NO way you should dance tomorrow.
you should probable not dance, take my advice so you don't have to learn the hard way like i did.
