What does it mean when you produce a lot of body heat?

Question:
Hi, I was told by my girlfriend that I produce a lot of body heat and every night see tells me that I make her sweat because I get so warm. I was wondering what it means and what causes it. Also I am only 6' and weigh only 148 pounds if that helps, so please anyone help me out?

Answers:
it means you have a high metabolic rate, and if you remember your physics 90 % (or so) of energy is lost in the form of heat. since your tall and lean you have a greater surface area and less fat to hold heat in, making you shed heat off more.

Other Answers:
Sounds like you are a hot body! :-)

If you eat spicey food, drink or smoke regularly, your body is simply sweating out toxins. What helps me more than anything is sleeping next to a fan. It just means you sleep hot. My daughter is 3, and she sweats in her sleep. I dunno if it's hereditary cause her daddy and brother are the same, but it's nothing to worry about. Tell your girlfriend to sleep on her own side of the bed if she doesn't want to get sweat on.
