The only good thing from doing that would be to kill puss / infection very rapidly but that'd be in a very nasty situation (no help near, extreme recourse etc) Though might as well use alcool if that is handy instead.

acetone is not a good idea for open wounds. If the wound is gaping (deep) and bleeding a lot, go to the er. Otherwise, apply pressure to stop bleeding, wash w/ water to take out dirt, then apply antibiotic ointment like neosporin.

if nothing else is available then it will kill the germs but the risks of acetone poisoning outweighs infection risks!
