What is good for calm down nausea?

Question:
my mother in law has really bad nausea, she hardly eats, and feels like vomiting, she has diabetes and pancreatitis.

Answers:
is it chronic pancreatitis?
Look into some ginger root for treatment for the nausea, but if it is associated more so with she gets sick at the thought of eating b/c when she does eat she gets sick, i would suggest some digestive enzyme aids (the pancreas is needed to produce pancreatic lipase, an enzyme that breaks down fat, and if the pancreas isn't working up to par, it could be affecting her GI tract due to a decrease in the break down of fats and possible mal-absorption). good luck

Other Answers:
Ginger, gingersnaps, ginger tea, and to some extent ginger ale. Also there are prescription meds for nausea, such as Compazine. Not sure if that would be contraindicated by her conditions, ask the doctor.
try some saltine crackers and ginger ale.
SUGAR FREE PEPPERMINT CANDY OR PEPPERMINT TEA. IT WORKS REALLY WELL.
Laying on your back with your feet in the air usually helps me.

If she has diseases that are causeing her nausea, I have heard that Marijuana helps out.
If she is always feeling this way because of her sickness why hasnt the dr given her something for it?I have found that pepperment tea works wonders.when my children were small i would make it for them and add a little sugar when they had an upset belly or were feeling nauseated.Try this it really does work and it tastes pretty good too.
